Dean of Fine Arts (Review of current internal candidate)

Dr. Allana Lindgren's first term as Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts will end on December 31, 2026. An appointment committee has been convened to make a recommendation regarding reappointment for a second term, in accordance with Policy GV0450.

Public Presentation Question:

Reflecting on your term as Dean, what have been the most impactful achievements and significant challenges—and how do these shape your view of the role and value of the Arts in our current moment of poly-crisis?

If you continue as Dean, what is your renewed vision for the Faculty over the next five years, and how will you use transparency and collaboration to empower students, staff, faculty, and community in a way that creates space for diverse views and meaningful partnership?

Feedback will be welcomed following the public presentation. To be considered by the Appointment Committee, please provide your feedback no later than noon on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
