2026-27 Limited Term Assistant Professors
The Faculty of Law invites applications for up to two full-time Limited Term Assistant Professors. All appointments will be for 1 July 2026 – 31 May 2027 with the possibility of renewal.
Limited Term Assistant Professors will have the following teaching responsibilities:
- One of the following courses in the JD or JD/JID program: Contracts, Property,
- One or more upper year While a range of expertise is welcome, we have particular needs in relation to Refugee Law, Family Law, Health Law, Access to Justice and Class Actions.
- Participation in the first year Legal Process
The successful candidate will also have some administrative assignments and the opportunity to participate in the faculty’s research community by contributing to the Faculty Speaker’s Series.
Appointment at the rank of Limited-Term Assistant Professor requires successful completion of an LLB, JD, BCL or equivalent law degree; and relevant doctorate (completed or in progress).
A record of successful teaching and research in law and related fields will be an asset. Qualifications, experience and overall market demand will determine a candidate’s final offer. The salary for these positions includes a competitive salary range of $108,000 to $130,500.
