Bethany Woodbridge is the Program Officer at CIFAL Victoria and a research associate for BIOSCAN Canada in the Department of Geography at the 探花系列. Her responsibilities include managing CIFAL Victoria's communications, including liaising with partners, social media, and web design; supporting course certification and delivering certificates to CIFAL trainees; and assisting with research and grant development.
Bethany has recently been awarded a Master's degree in Geography from the 探花系列, conducting research exploring Indigenous environmental value systems through a case study conducted in partnership with T'Sou-ke First Nation examining the community's relationship with cedar trees. She first began working with CIFAL Victoria as a part-time communications coordinator while completing her graduate studies. With her degree completed, Bethany has now joined the team full-time as Program Officer. She also has continued to work as a research associate with BIOSCAN Canada, the team with whom she completed her graduate research, on ongoing environmental valuation and ecological management research with Indigenous communities on Vancouver Island.
