Gary Xie obtained his master’s degree in Materials Processing Engineering from Wuhan University of Science and Technology in China. With ten years of professional experience, he worked as a manufacturing process engineer at GE and Corning. He is currently pursuing another master’s degree in mechanical engineering at UVic as a member of the EGGs research group, focusing on identifying key design parameters for next-generation porous transport layers (PTLs) with finite element models.
In his free time, Gary enjoys badminton and hiking.
