Megan Quigley
Megan is the first point of contact for university community members who are seeking information and support from EQHR. She provides information, referrals, guidance, and support to those that find their way to EQHR, with specific emphasis on the Sexualized Violence Prevention and Response Policy and the Discrimination and Harassment Prevention and Response Policy.
About Megan
Megan (she/her), is a settler of Irish and Filipino descent. She was born in the Philippines and grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. Megan has lived, worked, and studied as an uninvited guest on Lək̓ʷəŋən and WSÁNEĆ territories for about 10 years. She recently returned to Coast Salish territories after living in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal (Kanienʼkehá꞉ka lands) for 6 years.
Megan joined the EQHR team in 2026 in the capacity of Case Management Officer. Previously, she worked at UVic’s International Centre for Students, where she supported students in the role of Settlement Adviser. Before coming to UVic, Megan has worked in the areas of housing and tenant rights, immigrant and newcomer services, and sexualized violence prevention and response. She also has a background in arts-based research, curation and policy development. Megan holds a deep commitment to transformative justice and and seeks to bring compassion and care to her work with the UVic community.
