Thesis Writers' Intensive (TWI)
Held in June and December, the Thesis Writers' Intensive (TWI) is your chance make headway on your thesis, dissertation, or other graduate writing project.
Participants clear their calendars and devote three full days to writing in a supportive environment. It’s a great opportunity to learn from presentations, sharpen skills, and build momentum. You’ll also have the chance to meet other grad students working on their writing projects project.
The TWI offers several modes of support for thesis writing, including:
- structured days
- writing, time management, and related workshops
- peer support
- expert consultations
During these three days, you can sign up for writing consultations with tutors from the Academic Skills Centre, research/citation consultations with librarians, and academic counselling from Student Wellness. These sessions are intended to provide personalized feedback and advice.
The TWI is a collaboration between the Faculty of Graduate Studies, the Academic Skills Centre, Student Wellness, and the UVic Libraries.
