Dean of Graduate Studies reappointed

The Vice-President Academic and Provost is pleased to announce that Dr. Robin Hicks has been reappointed to serve a second term as Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies, until June 30, 2031.

A respected scholar and academic leader, Dr. Hicks has championed excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a strong student experience, working closely with faculty, staff and students to strengthen graduate programs and supports. His continued commitment to innovation, mentorship and academic integrity will help ensure that graduate education at UVic remains vibrant, accessible and globally engaged.

Reappointments are conducted in accordance with UVic's Procedures for the Appointment and Re-appointment of Deans (GV0450).
